Harlan County’s Luke Carr, pictured in action earlier this season, teamed with Demarco Hopkins, Luke Kelly and Thomas Jordan to set school records in the 100 and 200 meter relays at South Laurel on Friday.

The Harlan County track team had a strong showing at the South Laurel on Friday. The boys placed second behind Corbin and the HCHS girls were fourth.
Harlan County coach Ryan Vitatoe listed some of the highlights for the HCHS teams below.
“That is a heck of a night by our kids. Over 20 teams in this meet with tons of top 2A and 3A schools and the boys were second overall with the girls placing fourth,” he said. “Our kids keep working hard. We had tons of great performances and all the kids did great.”
