Harlan, HC fall in softball action

Harlan outfielder Annie Hoskins went back to make a catch in a game against Harlan County earlier this week. The Lady Dragons lost to Middlesboro on Tuesday.

Harlan fell to 0-5 in district action with a 21-3 four-inning loss Tuesday at home against Middlesboro.
Ava Nunez led the Lady Dragons with two singles. Addison Jackson had a double. Ella Lisenbee added a single.
Carley Thomas gave up 15 runs (seven earned) on nine hits in three innings, with two strikeouts and three walks. Lisenbee gave up three unearned runs on two hits with two walks in one inning.

Harlan lost 6-3 on Wednesday to visiting Knott Central
Nunez again led the 4-19 Lady Dragons with a double and two RBI. Jackson and Lisenbee had singles.
Thomas gave up six runs (four earned) on eight hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
Harlan plays host to Jenkins on Friday.

The Harlan County Lady Bears fell 10-0 in five innings at North Laurel on Tuesday.
Brittleigh Estep and Jade Burton had singles for the Lady Bears.
Blair gave up 10 runs on 10 hits with one strikeout and no walks.
Harlan County lost 13-2 to visiting Whitley County on Thursday.
Wilson led HCHS with a double and single. Blair had two singles. Shepherd and Estep added one each.
Estep gave up six runs on eight hits in 3 1/3 innings. Blair allowed seven runs (four earned) on six hits in 1 2/3 innings.
The 10-18 Lady Bears play at Middlesboro on Monday.
