Serving mainly as a pinch-runner early in the season, Harlan County sophomore Samuel Henson eventually worked his way into the lineup as the Black Bears surged late in the year. Henson played his best baseball in last week’s 52nd District Tournament with a double and single in a comeback win over Harlan in the first round and a triple in a loss to Middlesboro in the tournament finals, earning Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors in the process.
