Tri-City Dodgers finish unbeaten in regular season

The Benham Lodge Dodgers completed a perfect 16-0 season in the Tri-City Little League with a 15-0 win Tuesday over the Royals.
Byron Shepherd pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Shepherd also led the offense with four RBI on a triple and two singles. Tobey Lunsford had a triple and single. Kyllian Jackson and Elijah Creech added triples. Carson Clark had a double. Barrett Baldwin added a single.
Byron Boggs led the Royals with a double.
The Dodgers defeated the Yankees 14-6 on Tuesday.
Clark led the Dodgers’ offense with a triple, double and single for four RBI. Shepherd added three RBI on a triple, double and single. Creech and Carson McBee added one single each.
Clark struck out eight in 4 1/3innings. Shepherd fanned five in 1 2/3 innings.
Bryson Saylor led the Yankees with three singles. Brayden Howard had an inside-the-park homer. Hunter Fuson, Hayden Grace and Memphis Hudack added singles.
