After a hard-fought 4-2 loss to open the District 4 Tournament (ages 9-10) at Knox County, the Harlan All-Stars bounced back with a pair of blowout victories — 11-1 over Knox County in four innings on Monday and 15-0 over Leslie County in three innings on Tuesday.
Adelynn Burgan pitched a one-hitter against Knox with nine strikeouts and two walks.
CayleeAnn Yount led the Harlan All-Stars at the plate with a triple and two singles. Campbell Thompson added a double and single. Maddie Fields added an inside-the-park homer. Burgan singled twice. Brylie Wilson added one single.
Burgan struck out 13 and walked seven while giving up three hits against South Laurel. Yount had the only hit with a single.
Madelyn Messer struck out 17 and walked seven for South Laurel in the circle.
