Hazard wins at Harlan; Lady Bears fall at Rye Cove

Harlan’s Carley Thomas and Hazard’s Miley Gadbury, both sophomores, battled at the net in action Saturday. The visiting Lady Dogs won in three sets.

Visiting Hazard handed Harlan its sixth loss in the last seven matches with a 25-19, 25-12, 25-12 win Saturday.
The 8-11 Lady Dragons play host to Williamsburg on Monday and Leslie County on Tuesday to close the regular season. Harlan will take the next week off before opening district tournament play on Oct. 17.
