James A. Cawood and Rosspoint gave every indication they are headed for a championship showdown with two dominating performances each Monday in the fifth- and sixth-grade division of the Black Bears Preseason Panorama at Harlan County High School.
Rosspoint raced to a 21-1 halftime lead against Cumberland on the way to a 39-5 win and led Wallins 30-0 at halftime on the way to a 30-20 victory. JACES coasted past Cawood 29-12 and Evarts 40-5. Black Mountain and Green Hills were unable to participate in the panorama.
Hudson Faulkner and Nathan Barger each scored eight to lead Rosspoint against Cumberland.
Hunter Fuson paced the Redskins with four points.
Trey Creech and Faulkner each scored six in the win over Wallins.
Nicholas Colinger led the Devils with eight points.
Easton Engle scored nine to lead the Trojans against Cawood.
Kaydan Gray led the Comets with seven points.
