Bears, Bobcats split doubleheader

Harlan County split a basketball doubleheader Monday at James A. Cawood Elementary School against Bell County.
The Bobcats broke.a tie with 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter on the way to a 41-31 win in the freshman game.
Harlan County led all the way in junior varsity action, rolling to a 55-29 victory.
Jaxon Thomas scored 19 and Ethan Buell added 13 to lead Bell in the freshman game.
Reggie Cottrell scored 12 and Hunter Napier chipped in with 10 to lead the 0-4 Bears.
Sophomore guard Brody Napier got the Bears off to the fast start in junior varsity action and finished with 15 points. Cottrell and Hunter Napier added 12 each as the Bears improved to 3-4.
Buell and Austin Goodin scored nine each to lead the Bobcats.
