Aymanni Wynn and Kylie Noe combined for 14 points in the first quarter as Harlan raced to a 16-point lead after one quarter on the way to a 71-47 victory on Tuesday at Barbourville.
Wynn scored 23 points to lead the 8-5 Lady Dragons. Emma Owens and Noe added 18 and 13 points, respectively.
Sara Smith led the Lady Tigers with 14 points.
Both teams return to action later this week in the 13th Region All “A” Classic at Barbourville. The Lady Tigers play Lynn Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Harlan will take on Oneida Baptist Institute on Friday at 6 p.m.

Peyshaunce Wynn scored 17 points as Harlan won 33-27 in junior varsity action. Gracie Hensley added five points, followed by Shelby Doan and Reagan Goodman with four each, Addison Campbell with two and Keauna Shepherd with one.
Bre Engle led the Lady Tigers with 10 points. Sadie Hoffman added six, followed by Bailee Branstetter with four, Marleigh Martin and Olivia Brown with three each and Macy Hoskins with one.
