Harlan County swept a junior varsity/freshman doubleheader last week against visiting Bell County, winning 50-41 in the junior varsity game and 46-29 in freshman action.
Freshman guard Landon Brock scored 13 points to lead the 3-2 Bears. Brennan Blevins and Shemar Carr added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Cole Cornett and Bryson Bryant scored six each. Gunnar Johnson added two.
Kenton Brock led the Bobcats with 16 points. Logan Stepp scored 14. Daniel Wilder added seven. Marty Brock and Kaleb Cornett scored two each.
The freshman Bears were led by Brock and Cornett with 14 and 12 points, respectively. Bryant scored seven. Ethan Nichols tossed in six. Carr scored four. Gibson Wilder added three.
Brock led Bell with 10 points. Cornett added seven, followed by Wilder with five, Logan Greene with four, Jordan Collins with two and Brock with one.
The Harlan County freshman team fell to 2-3 with losses to Corbin and Whitley County on Saturday at Whitley County.
