The Harlan County girls ran their record to 2-0 in tennis action and the boys evened their record at 1-1 with a sweep Monday of visiting Letcher Central. The Lady Bears claimed a 5-4 win while the boys coasted to a 9-0 victory.
“An early test for our squads today against Letcher Central. We had some adversity face us on the girls side and we had to dig down deep to make a comeback in a few matches,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “We pulled it through in doubles for the win. The boys played an all around good game. I thought each player hit the appropriate shots today and corrected a lot of issues we had forced against Whitley last week.”
Harlan County returns to action at Middlesboro on Thursday.
