Harlan County traveled to South Laurel on Friday to compete in the Cardinal Classic.
The boys and girls placed second overall with 140 and 121 points, respectively, both 17 points behind Corbin.
To lead the Bears, Luke Kelly won the 100- and 200-meter dash. Jacob Schwenke won the 800-meter run. Peyton Jackson won shot put.
Kaden Boggs, Elijah Moore, Caleb Schwenke and Jacob Schwenke won the 4 x 800-meter relay.
Ray Splawn was 24th in the 100-meter dash. Landon Cook placed 27th.
Splawn finished 15th in the 200-meter dash. He was immediately followed by Cook.
In the 400-meter dash, Ethan Simpson placed eighth. He was immediately followed by Jacob Schwenke and Moore.
Moore finished fourth in the 800-meter run. Caleb Schwenke immediately followed him.
In the 1,600-meter run, Boggs was second. Caleb Schwenke and Jonavan Rigney finished ninth and 12th, respectively.
Boggs placed third in the 3,200-meter run. Rigney finished fifth. Christopher Johnson was seventh.
Drew Sergent placed 10th in the 110-meter hurdles and ninth in the 300-meter hurdles. Cayden Craig finished 11th in the 300-meter hurdles.
In long jump, Bradley Brock was sixth. Caden Craig placed 12th, while Evan Simpson was 14th.
Rydge Lewis was 10th in high jump.
In triple jump, Brock placed sixth. Evan Simpson and Caden Craig were eighth and ninth, respectively.
Brock placed second in pole vault.
Brayden Clay was third in shot put. Alex Greene placed seventh.
In discus, Greene was third. Jackson and Clay placed 10th and 13th, respectively.
In the 4 x 100-meter relay, Kelly, Splawn, Gage Bailey and Ethan Simpson finished third. Lewis, Cook, Sam Carr and Ethan Nantz were 12th.
Bailey, Kelly, Splawn and Ethan Simpson placed third in the 4 x 200-meter relay. Carr, Cook, Lewis and Nantz were eighth.
Bailey, Moore, Jacob Schwenke and Ethan Simpson were third in the 4 x 400-meter relay. Cayden Craig, William Duncan, Trevor Farley and Luther Gross finished fourth. Lewis, Nantz, Braxton Duncan and Braxton Cornett placed fifth.
Maddi Middleton led the Lady Bears, winning high jump.
Aliyah Deleon, Makenna Dillman, Jaylee Cochran and Madison Daniels won the 4 x 100-meter relay.
Jaycee Simpson, Preslee Hensley, Lauren Lewis and Gracie Roberts won the 4 x 400-meter relay.
In the 100-meter dash, Deleon placed eighth. She was immediately followed by Cochran. Dillman was 15th.
Deleon finished sixth in the 200-meter dash. Cochran was eighth, immediately followed by Simpson.
Lewis was second in the 400-meter dash. Simpson finished fourth. Preslee Hensley placed 11th.
Preslee Hensley finished fourth in the 800-meter run. Gracie Roberts immediately followed her.
In the 1,600-meter run, Kiera Roberts was fourth. Suzy Mumford and Alice Gross finished 16th and 20th, respectively.

Ashton Evans finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles and ninth in the 300-meter hurdles. Trinity Jones was 11th in the 300-meter hurdles.

In shot put, Ali Hensley placed second. Addyson Caldwell and Addison Day were third and fourth, respectively.

In the 4 x 200-meter relay, Cochran, Deleon, Simpson and Addi Gray placed fourth.
In the 4 x 400-meter relay, Macie Bennett, Emily Ositis, Khloe Carr and Jovi Tye were third.

The Harlan County Black Bears participated in an all-comers meet at Leslie County on Tuesday.
The boys won with 164 points. The girls finished second overall with 131 points, 7.5 points behind South Laurel.

Kelly, Gage Bailey, Ethan Simpson, and Ray Splawn won the 4 x 100-meter relay and 4 x 200-meter relay.

In the 4 x 100-meter relay, Cochran, Dillman, Daniels and Deleon finished second. Carr, Addi Gray, Macie Bennett and Emily Ositis placed eighth.
Cochran, Simpson, Deleon and Addi Gray were fifth in the 4 x 200-meter relay.
Lunsford, Mumford, Roberts and Preslee Hensley finished second in the 4 x 800-meter relay.
