Harlan County swept Barbourville in tennis action Tuesday, winning 6-3 in the boys competition and 7-2 in girls.
The Lady Bears lost a hard-fought 6-3 match against Bell County on Monday,.
“I’m very proud of the way our girls and both have performed in these two matches. It was good for the girls to get back on track after a hard fought match against a tough Bell County team,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “We had several opportunities to pull that match out but fell a little short in the end. The boys pulled out a nice win over Barbourville and played some really good tennis. It was nice to see our younger players fight and get themselves a win.”
