Devils defeat Black Mountain to remain undefeated

Wallins remained unbeaten on the season, with one game left to play before the postseason, with a 49-25 win Monday over Black Mountain in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball acton at James A. Cawood Elementary School.
Ethan Simpson scored 19 points and Evan Simpson added 13 for the 9-0 Purple Devils.
Shemar Carr led Black Mountain with six points.
Ashton Sizemore scored 14 and Aidan Reynolds added 12 as Evarts defeated Cawood 39-26.
Jake Brewer paced the Comets with nine points.
Kaden Jones scored 10 points and Terry Delaney added nine as James A. Cawood rallied for a 37-35 win over Rosspoint.
Brody Napier tossed in 12 and Luke Kelly contributed 12 to lead Rosspoint.
