Jackets score 10 in second inning to down Dragons

Harlan’s Donovan Montanaro took a throw in Monday’s game against Harlan. The Jackets swept two games against the Dragons this week.


Middlesboro exploded for 10 runs in the second inning on the way to a 16-6 win Tuesday over visiting Harlan.
The Jackets capitalized on 10 Harlan errors to score eight unearned runs.
Eric Helton led Middlesboro (9-6) at the plate with two hits and three runs scored.
Evan Browning led the Harlan offense with three singles in four at bats. John Mark Bryson had two singles. Shane Lindsey added one single.
Harlan (5-9) plays host to Cumberland Gap, Tenn., on Friday. Middlesboro (9-6) is at home against Thomas Walker, Va., on Wednesday.
