Lady Bears open district slate with win over Middlesboro

Harlan County senior Lindsey Browning went up for a spike in district volleyball action. The Lady Bears defeated Middlesboro in three sets for their third straight victory.

Harlan County ran its win streak to three and opened its district schedule with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-13 win Tuesday over visiting Middlesboro.
Chloe Shelton led the Lady Bears with 24 assists, along with one ace and one kill. Lindsey Browning added 10 kills and nine aces. Kalista Dunn added 10 aces eight kills and three digs. Lily Caballero had four kills, three aces and one assist. Lindsay Hall added four kills and two aces. Kamryn Hoiska contributed six kills. Destiny Cornett added two assists and one ace. Lesleigh Brown had one kill.
Harlan County returns to action Thursday with another district clash, this one against visiting Harlan.

Ashton Evans had seven aces and three kills to lead the Lady Bears. Destiny Cornett contributed four kills, two aces and one block. Kylee Moyers added two kills. Emily Eldridge had three aces.
