Cawood edges Trojanettes in middle school basketball

Visiting Cawood held on for a hard-fought 31-28 win Thursday at James A. Cawood in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Thursday.
Maddi Middleton led the Lady Comets with 21 points.
Kaylissa Daniels scored 13 to pace JACES.
The Trojanettes won 20-6 in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Maddy Fields and Taylynn Napier each scored five.

Teague leads Wallins in victory over Lady Cats

Whitley Teague scored 14 points and Presley Hensley added nine as Wallins rolled past Evarts 37-17 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.
Kylee Runions led Wallins to a 24-5 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action as she scored 12 points.
The two teams played to a 2-2 tie in fourth-grade action.
