Harlan’s Will Shepherd drove to the basket in action earlier this week against Williamsburg. Shepherd scored 15 points on Thursday as the Green Dragons defeated Middlesboro 66-52.

 

Cole leads Harlan in win over Middlesboro

Led by 21 points from Trent Cole, Harlan improved to 8-3 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action with a 66-52 win Thursday over visiting Middlesboro.
Will Shepherd and Baylor Varner added 15 and 14 points, respectively, for the Dragons.
Thomas led Middlesboro with 26 points.
Jimmy Lawson scored 20 points and Jerome Ferguson added 17 as Middlesboro won 45-23 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Cooper Thomas and Jaxson Perry led the 2-5 Dragons with six points each.
Harlan returns to action Monday at Pineville.
