Freshman guard Ethan Simpson scored 12 points to lead the Harlan County junior varsity team to a 58-36 win Tuesday over visiting Barbourville.

The Harlan County freshman team ran its record to 3-0 with a 51-27 win Tuesday over visiting Barbourville as eighth-grade forward Hunter Napier scored 14 points and freshman center Jaycee Carter added 12 to lead the Black Bears.
Jared King led Barbourville with 14 points.
Harlan County completed a sweep with a 58-3 win in junior varsity action as sophomore guard Caleb Johnson scored 14 points and freshman guard Ethan Simpson added 12 for the 3-2 Bears.
Colby Peters led the Tigers with eight points.
