While leading Harlan to its best finish in the state All “A” Classic since 2000, senior guard Jordan Akal was again the choice as the Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week.
Akal scored 15 points in a first-round win over Campbellsville, then heated up with a 28-point outburst against Bracken County in the quarterfinals. Akal scored 29 as Harlan fell 63-61 to Breathitt County in the semifinals.
