Wallins, Rosspoint advance to 5-6 county finals

Wallins’ Tanner Daniels, pictured in first-round action Saturday, scored 30 points on Monday in the Purple Devils’ 57-47 win over Evarts in the semifinals.

Wallins and Rosspoint advanced to the fifth- and sixth-grade county finals with semifinal wins Monday at James A. Cawood Elementary School.
Tanner Daniels poured in 30 points and Ryan Day added 18 as Wallins defeated Evarts 57-47.
Brenton Bargo led Evarts with 19 points. Kobe Noe Sanders added 11.
Trey Creech scored 13 points as Rosspoint edged top-seeded James A. Cawood 29-25.
Tyhler Coots led the Trojans with 10 points.
Rosspoint and Wallins will play for the county championship on Saturday at 7 at Harlan County High School. JACES will play Evarts at 5:30 in the third-place game.
