Harlan’s Mallow McNiel took a throw at second base in action earlier this season. McNiel had a hit Thursday in the Lady Dragons’ win at Leslie County.

Freshman third baseman Ella Lisenbee continued her hot start this season, pounding out a triple and two singles while scoring three runs and stealing two bases to lead Harlan in a 10-8 victory Thursday over visiting Leslie County.
Addison Jackson and Carley Thomas pounded out two doubles each with Jackson scoring three runs and driving in two while Thomas drove in three. Mallory McNeil added one single. Ella Farley scored twice.
Thomas pitched a complete game, striking out 10 and walking eight while allowing 15 hits.
Harlan plays at Lynn Camp on Friday.

Ten runs were plenty for the Harlan County Lady Bears in a win Monday at Leslie County but not enough Thursday at Whitley County as HCHS fell 14-10 despite a 14-hit effort.
Ryliie Maggard led the Lady Bears with a double and single. Hailey Austin, Jenna Wilson, Madison Blair, Halanah Shepherd, Halle Raleigh and Jade Burton added two singles each.
Blair pitched a complete game for HCHS, striking out two and walking two while giving up 14 hits and three earned runs.
The 2-6 Lady Bears play at Letcher Central on Saturday.
