Harlan All-Star Seth Johnson delivered a pitch in District 4 Tournament action Tuesday. Johnson had three hits to lead Harlan in a 14-7 loss.

One of the best runs for a Harlan Little League team in several years ended Tuesday as the Harlan All-Stars fell 14-7 to North Laurel in the District 4 Tournament at Huff Park.
Harlan had advanced to the final four by finishing second in the tournament for the East Division teams of District 4 last week, rallying three times for wins.
”I’m extremely proud of this group and the heart they showed to come back in all of these games,” Harlan coach Steven Johnson said. “We had a bad inning and North Laurel capitalized in what was a close game until the end. Now we start to work for next season.”
Seth Johnson led the Harlan offense with three singles. Gabriel Helton added one single.
Johnson pitched the first three innings. Helton pitched two innings, and Brylee Southerland pitched one.
Hampton led North Laurel with a double and triple. Minor and Warren each had a double and single. Woodyard singled twice. Campos and Whitis added doubles. High and Asher had singles.
Campos was the winning pitcher.
Hazard/Perry rolled past Corbin 11-1 in the winners bracket finals on Tuesday. North Laurel was scheduled to take on Corbin on Wednesday with the winner playing Hazzard/Perry on Thursday in the championship game.
