Local athletes among top ranked basketball players in Kentucky

Harlan forward Kylie Noe is the 41st ranked sophomore in Kentucky, according to Prep Girls Hoops.

Several local players are listed among the state’s best in recent rankings from Prep Girls Hoops, including two from Harlan High School and one from Harlan County High School.
Harlan sophomore forward Kylie Noe, who averaged 18 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season, had the highest ranking in the 41st spot in the Class of 2025. Her teammate, Aymanni Wynn, was ranked 51st on the same list of sophomores after averaging 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game last season.
Harlan County point guard Ella Karst is on the list of the state’s top juniors with a 79th place ranking in the Class of 2024. Karst averaged 16.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Jackson County center Kennedy Ward is the top ranked senior in the region at 38th. South Laurel’s Reagan Jones is 56th and Jackson County’s Kaylee Shannon is 109th.
Gracie Jo Wilder, of Bell County, is the top ranked junior in the 18th spot. South Laurel’s Clara Collins is 27th. Ccrbin’s Kallie Housley and Bailey Stewart are 28th and 54th, respectively. Jackson County guard Madison Curry is ranked 94th.
Knox Central’s Halle Collins is the top ranked sophomore in the region as she placed fifth. Jackson County’s Abby Gilbert is 13th.
