Lady Dragons coast past Middlesboro to open season

Harlan senior Marissa Marlowe went to the net to finish a point Monday in the Lady Dragons’ season-opening win against Middlesboro. Marlowe led the Lady Dragons with seven aces and five kills.

The Harlan Lady Dragons opened their season Tuesday by sweeping past visiting Middlesboro 25-15, 25-14, 25-7.
Marissa Marlowe led the Lady Dragons with seven aces and five kills. Carley Thomas had six aces and two kills. Emma Owens added six aces and one kill. Campbell Nunez added five aces. Annie Hoskins had two aces, one assist and three kills. Taylor Hall contributed three aces. Ava Nunez had one ace and assists. Ella Farley contributed two digs, while Kendyll Blanton, Tess Bryson and Carley Jump adde one each.
Harlan returns to action Thursday at home against Lynn Camp.
