Harlan County’s Emilee Eldridge battled at the net during the Lady Bears’ win Thursday over visiting Middlesboro.

Harlan County ran its district record to 2-1 by sweeping past visiting Middlesboro 25-6, 25-17, 25-18 on Thursday.
Kylee Hoiska led the Lady Bears with eight digs, four service aces, four kills and one assist. Ashton Evans added six aces, six kills and two digs. Destiny Cornett had 13 assists. Lindsay Hall added five aces, five kills, one dig and one assist. Chloe Shelton had seven assists and one dig. Brooklyn Wood added three digs. Lesleigh Brown contributed one kill and one ace.
The 3-2 Lady Bears return to action Tuesday at Corbin.

Harlan County rolled to a 21-7, 21-6 victory in junior varsity action. Destiny Cornett had 10 straight service points, along with six assists and four aces. Taylor Clem had eight straight service points with two aces. Kaitlyn Daniels had seven straight points with one ace. Kylee Moyers added four kills and two aces. Savannah Hill had two kills and one assist, Paige Allen added one ace and one kill.
