Harlan County’s Victoria Day battled with Middlesboro’s Morgan Lawson during Tuesday’s district clash. The visiting Lady Jackets won 2-1.

The Harlan County Lady Bears suffered a 2-1 loss Tuesday against visiting Middlesboro.

The 5-9 Lady Bears close their season Thursday at Perry Central. Harlan County will have the top seed in next week’s district tournament and will play the winner of Tuesday’s Knox Central-Bell County game in the finals on Wednesday at Knox Central.

Livia Gilbert and Santana Risner each had goals for the Lady Bears. Risner and Victoria Day added assists. Brooklyn Crider recorded six saves while allowing only one goal.
