Harlan County’s Hunter Smith went airborne against Barbourville’s Joseph Roop to make contact with the ball during Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Barbourville.

Harlan County completed a perfect regular season against district competition with a pair of victories this week over Knox County opponents, defeating Knox Central 4-0 on Monday in Barbourville and 2-0 at home Tuesday against Barbourville.
The Black Bears improved to 7-6-2 overall and 6-0 in district competition heading into next week’s district tournament at Knox Central.
Caydon Shanks continued his record-breaking senior season with four goals in the win over Knox Central, setting a school record for goals in the process. Connor Howard and Brayden Miller each added assists. Travis Burkhart.had three goal keeper saves.
Shanks and Ray Splawn each had goals in the win over Barbourville. Burkhart recorded 10 saves.
Harlan County will open play in the district tournament on Monday.
