Harlan County placed second on Monday in the Farmers-MIners Bank Invitational at Janesville, Va., with a combined score of 328.
Cole Cornett led the Bears as he won a playoff for fourth place with a 73. Brayden Casolari came in with a 76 to finish sixth. Alex Creech had a strong showing in his first match of the season with an 84. Zayden Casolari also made an impressive debut with a 95. Sebastian Mosley rounded out the HCHS contingent.
The team will return to action Monday in a conference match at the Woodlake Country Club.
