Harlan County swept Letcher Central on Monday and Pineville on Tuesday in tennis action.
The Lady Bears won 7-2 and the Bears won 4-2 over visiting Pineville. The girls won 5-4 on Monday at Letcher and the boys won 8-1.
“I am very proud of the results we have had the past two matches. We were rained out three matches last week, so to be able to get these two in and have solid performances in each is something that I’m excited about,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “Letcher is always a top contender in their region, so it’s nice to see the competitive side of us in action against non-region teams before we pick up the harder part of our schedule. We had to dig deep and we pulled it out in girls doubles. We had a great performance today against Pineville, who is in our region. Proud of both the boys and the girls.”
HC returns to action on Thursday at Bell County.
