HCHS girls defeat Prestonsburg in preseason game at Betsy Layne

Harlan County guard Taylynn Napier, pictured in action at last season’s 13th Region Tournament, scored a team-high 14 points Saturday as the Lady Bears defeated Prestonsburg 30-26 in a scrimmage at Betsy Layne High School. Jaycee Simpson added six points for the Lady Bears, followed by Reagan Clem with five, Jaylee Cochran and Raegan Landa with two each and Kenadee Sturgill with one.
