Lady Dragons defeat Perry, Lynn Camp in summer scrimmages

The Harlan Lady Dragons won twice on Thursday in the Harlan Team Camp, edging Perry Central 31-27 and rolling past Lynn Camp 59-14.

Perry had a one-point lead when Talae Taylor scored to put the Lady Dragons up by one with 1:40 left. Addy Cochran hit one of two at the line, then Addison Campbell put the game away with a field goal after a rebound following a Perry miss.

Campbell scored 16 to lead the Lady Dragons. Cochran tossed in five, and Taylor added four. Addy Patton, Lilly Daniels and Khloe Abner added two each.

Taylor led Harlan with 13 points in the win over Lynn Camp. Torri Sundy scored nine. Campbell and Daniels each added eight. Jerrah Phillips scored six. Cochran tossed in five, and JaLynn Pennington and Patton each chipped in with four. Abner scored two.

The Harlan County Lady Bears won all seven varsity scrimmages and six of seven junior varsity scrimmages during the Campbellsville University Team Camp this week. Team members include Natalie Moore, Raegan Landa, Shasta Brackett, Adleigh Creech, Jocelyn Miracle, Crissalyn Jones, Annie Burton, Morgyn Belcher, Andrea Napier, Jaycee Simpson , Taylynn Napier, Kenadee Sturgill, Reagan Clem, Jaylee Cochran, Kelsie Middleton and Khloe Carr.
