Even with standout freshman guard Reagan Clem sidelined due to illness, the Harlan County Lady Bears extended their win streak to three and evened their record at 4-4 with a 63-43 win Saturday over Louisville Holy Cross in the Defender Classic.
Eighth grade guard Taylynn Napier poured in 23 points to lead the Lady Bears. Sophomore guard Jaylee Cochran added 16 points. Whitney Noe led HCHS in rebounds with five followed by Raegan Landa with four.
Junior forward Graycee Clark scored 21 points to lead the 8-3 Cougars.
Harlan County returns to action Monday in the Smokey Mountain Holiday Classic in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
