The Harlan County tennis teams opened the season with 9-0 wins Friday over visiting Pineville.
“I’m super proud of our team’s performance tonight. Our team has put in the work during the offseason and these past few weeks since starting practice,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “We have high goals this season, and we are going to strive by taking it one match at a time. Great way to start the season off.”
Singles winners for the boys included Elijah Moore, Josh Stewart, Trey Ball and Ethan Peterson. Winners for the girls included Kalista Dunn, Natalie Moore, Sophie Day, Riley Witt and Addison Fields.
Harlan County returns to action Tuesday at home against Lynn Camp and then Thursday with a rematch against Pineville at home.
