The Harlan County High School tennis teams closed the regular season with a sweep of visiting Letcher Central, winning 6-3 in girls action and 9-7 in boys acton. The HCHS girls finished the regular season with a 12-4 mark while the boys finished 9-7.

“We closed the regular season with another strong performance. Our girls secured another 12-win season and our boys secured another winning season getting nine match wins,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “We are now heading into the regional tournament and will find out our draws in the coming day. I couldn’t be more proud of this group and the way we are competing right now. As long as we all stay focused and eyes on our goals, we can go really far in this tournament. As a coach, you couldn’t ask for a better group. This is going to be a senior class that will be missed for years but they have set an example for the coming players. Coach Erica Moore and myself are so proud of them.”

The regional tournament will take place May 4-14 at South Laurel High School
