
The Tri City All Stars moved within one game of clinching a spot in the District 4 Tournament (ages 9-10) final four with a 15-4 win over Harlan on Sunday at Perry County Park in Hazard.
Luke Creech led Tri City with four RBI on a triple, double and single. Tate Sherman added a double and two singles. Rhett Fields had a triple and double with three RBI. Jacob Hatfield, Myles Hughes, Micah Lawson and Levi Sergent each added one single.
Sergent pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks to earn the win.
Ben Parsons led Harlan with a triple and single. Braxton Capps had a triple. Braxton Sizemore added a double. Noah Blackwelder drove in two runs while Capps and Brandon Dollarhyde added one RBI each.
Sizemore pitched a complete game with four strikeouts and two walks.

Harlan opened the tournament with a 17-4 win in five innings over Middlesboro/Pineville/Bell.
Blackwelder hit for the cycle with an inside-the-park homer and four RBI. Sizemore drove in three runs with an inside-the-park homer and a double and single. Capps drove in two runs with a double and single. Parsons had one RBI with a triple and double. Dollarhyde had two singles. Noah Williams added one single.
Trey Wynn started on the mound and gave up two runs on one hit with five strikeouts and two walks in 1 2/3 innings. Sizemore, Parsons and Dollarhyde also saw action on the mound.

Sizemore had the only hit for Harlan in an 18-0 loss to Hazard/Perry in the semifinals.
Capps and Parsons shared mound duty.

Tri City will play the loser of the Knox County-Hazard/Perry game on Monday at 7 for second place in the east division.
