The Harlan Senior League All Stars suffered a pair of losses to Henry County in the state tournament on July 11 in Lawrenceburg, falling 6-4 and 10-0.
Addyson Patton led Harlan with a double and single in the opening game. Adelynn Burgan singled twice. Arianna Raleigh and Kennedy Estes had one single each.
Burgan struck out nine, walked four and gave up five hits as the Harlan pitcher.
Multiple Harlan errors led to a nine-run fourth inning in the nightcap.
Burgan had the only hit with a single. She struck out seven, walked three and gave up five hits to suffer the loss in the circle.
The Harlan All Stars earned a berth in the state tournament with a 13-1 win over Middlesboro/Pineville/Bell in the District 4 championship game.
