The Harlan Lady Dragons fell behind by five points after one quarter and spent the rest of the night battling from behind before falling 50-45 Saturday to Eastside, Va., in the third-place game of the PVNB Tip-Off Classic at UVA-Wise.
Brooklyn Johnson scored 14 points and Shelby Stanley added 13 to lead Eastside.
Sophomore guard Addison Campbell scored all 17 of Harlan’s points in the third quarter and finished with 23 points to lead the Lady Dragons. Cheyenne Rhymer added 11 points.
Harlan (1-2) returns to action Tuesday at Bell County in the first game of a girls/boys district doubleheader.
