Seventh-grade guard Kylee Martin scored nine points in overtime as Jackson County defeated Harlan 56-47 in overtime of the 13th Region All “A” Classic held at Lynn Camp High School.
With the Lady Dragons trailing 35-30 after three quarters, Addison Campbell scored eight points in the fourth period to help Harlan force overtime.
Martin powered the 4-8 Lady Generals with 17 points. Seventh-grade guard Sophie Martinez tossed in 14 points. Tilly Truett, also a seventh grader, added 10 points.
Sophomore guard Peyshaunce Wynn led Harlan with 19 points. Campbell, a sophomore guard, poured in 13 points. Cheyenne Rhymer, a senior guard, scored 11.
Rhymer tossed in seven points and Wynn scored six as Harlan led 13-9 after one quarter.
Martin powered the Lady Generals with eight points in the second quarter as Jackson County took a 23-17 advantage at halftime.
The Lady Generals stretched the lead to nine, at 28-19, in the third quarter. Wynn hit six of seven free throws and a basket by Rhymer pulled Harlan within one, 29-28, as the period expired.
Jackson County quickly pushed the lead to seven before Campbell nailed a pair of 3-pointers as the Lady Dragons fought back.
Harlan (4-10) travels to Jenkins on Saturday and visits Lynn Camp on Monday.

Lady Lions used third-quarter outburst to advance
Pineville started slow in Monday semifinals over district-rival Barbourville, but used a 22-10 run in the third quarter to win 51-45.
With the victory, the Lady Lions advance to play Jackson County for the 13th Region All “A” Classic Championship on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lynn Camp.
Senior forward Rachel Howard poured in 19 points to lead the Lady Lions. Clara Strange, a junior guard, scored 11. Kaiti Hammontree added seven points.
The Lady Lions committed several turnovers early as Barbourville built an 11-0 advantage midway through the first quarter. The Lady Tigers took an 11-4 lead into the second period. Martin scored nine points in the quarter.
A basket by Layla Brock at the 5:27 mark gave Barbourville its biggest lead of the game at 20-8.
Pineville slowly fought back as Howard scored 13 points, including a jumper with 4:39 remaining in the third quarter, to give the Lady Lions a 25-23 edge.
Pineville took a 37-31 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Martin scored 10 points early in the final period as the Lady Tigers took a 41-37 lead with six minutes left in the game.
Strange and Hammontree each had baskets to tie the game at 41-41.
The game was even at 43 and 45 before Hammontree nailed a 3-pointer with 47 seconds to play as Pineville sealed the victory.
Martin and Breanna Eagle led Barbourville (4-4) with 17 points apiece.
The Lady Tigers will visit Clinton County on Friday and Middlesboro on Monday.
