Down eight points with 2:40 to play on Saturday afternoon, the Harlan Lady Dragons came up with four clutch 3-pointers and one big defensive play to rally for a 64-63 win over visiting Jackson County.
Addison Campbell and Raegan Goodman hit back-to-back 3s to start the comeback. Hannah Jackson pushed the lead back to five before Peyshaunce Wynn hit a shot then nailed a from the corner to tie the game at 61.
Baylee Berry put Jackson back on top with a strong drive with 51 seconds left. Cheyenne Rhymer hit what turned out to be the game-winning 3 with 30 seconds left.
Jackson still had a chance to win before Campbell’s strong defense forced a turnover to put the game away.
Rhymer scored 23 points to lead the 7-14 Lady Dragons. Wynn added 18. Shelby Doan chipped in with 11.
Seventh grade forward Addy Brockman scored 21 to lead the 5-13 Lady Generals. Kylee Martin and Tilly Truett added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Harlan plays host to Whitley County on Monday in a 6 p.m. game.

Jackson County edged Harlan 35-32 in junior varsity action as Kenley Judd scored seven for the Lady Generals. Kylie Ray and Scarlett Peele added six each, followed by Kara Harris with five, Kylie Martin with four, Addi Brockman with three and Sadie Turner and Josie Chrisman with two each.
Addy Patton led Harlan with nine, followed by Jerrah Phillips with eight, Talae Taylor and Addy Cochran with six each and Torrie Sundy with three.
