Harlan overcame one deficit but couldn’t overcome the second as the Green Dragons closed the regular season with a 67-55 loss Thursday at Belfry.
The Dragons fell behind 19-9 after one quarter but fought back to pull even at 32-all at halftime as sophomore guard Izack Saylor hit four 3-pointers in a 14-point s second period. Belfry outscore the Dragons 20-14 in the third period to take the lead again.
Junior guards Brody Little and Carter Jude led the 19-10 Pirates with 28 and 12 points, respectively.
Harlan (11-17) was led by Saylor with 21 points and sophomore center Kobe Noe with 15.
The Green Dragons play Harlan County on Tuesday at 7:30 in the 52nd District Tournament at Bell County.

Belfry won 62-45 in junior varsity action as Gabe Varney scored 19 points and Ashton Evansadded 15 for the Pirates.
Braxton Rowe paced the Dragons with 19 points. Evan Jones tossed in seven, followed by Brody Brock and Brayden Lucas with six each, Dylan Collins with three and Caden Mefford with two.
