A leader the past two seasons for the Harlan County High School soccer team, senior Rileigh Duff will take her talents to the next level. She signed last week with Alice Lloyd College.
“I am so thankful for this opportunity,” Duff said. “I could not have done it without my family and my soccer coaches, Trish and Kenzie Crider. God has blessed me with such supportive friends, family and peers. A special thank you to Juan Landr, the ALC women’s soccer coach. I am so excited to start my journey.”
Duff was tied for first on the team as a senior with five goals as the Lady Bears finished 2-10., She was tied for second last year with five goals as HCHS posted a 6-9 mark.
“Rileigh Duff is ready to experience higher levels of competition. She’s ready to improve her game,” said HCHS coach Trish Crider. :She will be getting a college education while doing a sport she truly loves. She has the focus to balance sports and academics. She has time management skills and the discipline to be very successful. Rileigh is a leader and encourages teamwork which are valuable traits in personal and professional life.”
Alice Lloyd finished 0-8 last season and is a member of the Continental Athletic Conference at the NAIA level.
