JACES put together a strong all-around performance Tuesday in an elementary matchup against Rosspoint, using steady offensive pressure throughout the game to secure a 7–0 victory.
From the opening minutes, JACES controlled possession and kept play largely on Rosspoint’s side of the field. The pressure paid off at the 11:12 mark when Carson Kazy opened the scoring. Kazy struck again just minutes later at 9:33, giving JACES an early two-goal advantage.
Bella Gross added to the lead with a goal at 4:35 remaining in the half. Continued offensive pressure forced a defensive handling call inside the box for Rosspoint late in the first half, and Kazy converted the penalty kick with under three minutes remaining to complete a hat trick and extend the lead to 4–0 at halftime.
JACES carried that momentum into the second half. Colton Whitehead found the net at the 13:08 mark, followed by Leah Collins adding another goal at 10:18 to push the advantage to six.
To their credit, Rosspoint showed resilience late in the match, tightening up defensively and moving the ball into scoring position on a few promising attacks. However, Collins added her second goal of the night with 3:34 remaining to close out the scoring.
JACES’ consistent pressure on offense combined with solid defensive play throughout the match proved to be the difference in the elementary contest. Meanwhile, Rosspoint’s late-game push highlighted the team’s persistence as they continued battling through the final minutes.
Game Recap – March 24, 2026 | Wallins Elementary 2 vs. Cumberland Elementary 0 (Elementary Matchup)
In one of the most competitive elementary matchups of the evening, Wallins Elementary earned a 2–0 victory over Cumberland Elementary in a contest that was much closer than the final score suggests.
For much of the first half, play stayed centered around midfield as both defenses worked hard to keep attackers from finding space near the goal. Each team showed strong positioning and effort, limiting quality scoring opportunities early. Wallins eventually broke through late in the half when Jase Sargent found the back of the net at the 3:46 mark, giving Wallins a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
The second half continued with the same physical, evenly matched play. Cumberland worked the ball into scoring range several times and applied steady pressure offensively, but Wallins’ defense held firm when it mattered most. Midway through the half, Bella Saylor extended the lead with a goal at the 8:38 mark, providing valuable breathing room for Wallins.
Despite Cumberland’s persistence and several promising attacking sequences, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities before the final whistle. Wallins’ ability to convert on key chances proved to be the difference in a hard-fought matchup that showcased strong defensive effort and determination from both teams.

The Battle of Cloverfork elementary matchup took the field Tuesday evening as Evarts Elementary faced Black Mountain Elementary in a contest that showcased steady offensive pressure from Evarts and determined defensive effort from both sides. Evarts came away with a 5–0 victory after a strong performance across both halves.
Evarts controlled possession through much of the first half and broke through at the 9:54 mark when Carson Clarkopened the scoring. Later in the half, Rayce Bryant added another goal at the 1:40 mark to give Evarts a 2–0 advantage heading into halftime. Black Mountain’s defense worked hard throughout the opening period, limiting additional scoring chances despite sustained pressure.
Evarts continued their momentum into the second half as Clark found the net again at the 8:28 mark. He soon completed his hat trick with 5:50 remaining after finishing a close-range opportunity following a teammate’s shot.
Sadie Clark added the final goal for Evarts with 5:18 left to play, extending the lead to five.
Black Mountain showed resilience late in the match, mounting several offensive pushes and narrowly missing on a couple of scoring opportunities. However, they were unable to convert before the final whistle.
Evarts’ consistent possession and timely finishing proved to be the difference in the elementary rivalry matchup, while Black Mountain’s defensive effort and late attacking push highlighted their determination throughout the contest.

James A. Cawood turned in a strong performance Monday evening in their matchup against Rosspoint, pulling away in the second half to secure a 7–1 victory after what began as a tightly contested opening stretch.
The first half featured competitive play on both sides, with possession shifting frequently as each team worked to establish control. James A. Cawood broke through at the 21:10 mark when 11 Hailey Collins found the back of the net to open the scoring. Later in the half, 24 Carson Kazy added another goal with 15:10 remaining, giving James A. Cawood a 2–0 lead heading into halftime.
Rosspoint continued to battle early in the second half, keeping play competitive before James A. Cawood began to build momentum midway through the period. Kazy struck again with 16:48 remaining, then completed a hat trick with another goal at the 12:32 mark.
Collins followed with her second goal at the 11:22 mark and quickly secured her own hat trick with another score just moments later at 10:37 remaining. #1 Cayden Hensley added one more goal with 6:53 left to extend the lead further.
Despite the late-game pressure from James A. Cawood, Rosspoint continued to compete hard through the final minutes. Their persistence paid off when Chloe Harris found the net with 1:55 remaining, putting Rosspoint on the scoreboard before the final whistle.
James A. Cawood’s second-half surge proved decisive, but Rosspoint’s effort throughout the match—and their refusal to slow down late—highlighted the team’s determination from start to finish.
Game Recap – March 23, 2026 | Wallins 8 vs. Cumberland 0
Wallins delivered a dominant performance in Monday evening’s 6:15 matchup against Cumberland, controlling the pace of play from start to finish and earning a mercy-rule victory after building an eight-goal lead in the second half.
From the opening whistle, Wallins kept the ball on the offensive side of the field, using their physical style of play to counter Cumberland’s quickness and agility. The consistent pressure paid off early, as Hunter Asher opened the scoring at the 21:09 mark. Asher struck again at 15:06, setting the tone for what would become a big night offensively.
Leland Cope followed with back-to-back goals of his own, finding the net at 14:23 and again at 9:53 to close out the first half with Wallins firmly in control.
The second half saw more of the same, with Wallins continuing to dictate play. #0 Hunter Evans added to the tally with a goal at 21:27. Asher completed his hat trick at the 15:04 mark, while Cope soon matched the feat, securing his own hat trick with a goal at 12:22.
Asher wasn’t finished yet, adding one final goal at 10:45 to push the lead to eight and trigger the league’s mercy rule, bringing the game to an early close.
Wallins’ combination of strength, sustained pressure, and efficient finishing proved too much on this night, as they turned a physical contest into a decisive win.

The Battle of Clover Fork arrived early in the season Monday night as Evarts and Black Mountain squared off in a rivalry matchup that quickly tilted in Evarts’ favor after a fast and relentless first-half performance.
Evarts wasted no time setting the tone, striking within the opening minute when Justin Coots found the back of the net with 29:00 remaining. Just minutes later, Aiden Napier added another goal at the 26:25 mark, followed shortly by Coots’ second score at 25:51.
Black Mountain responded with adjustments in goal and personnel that briefly slowed the momentum, but Evarts continued to apply steady pressure on the offensive end. That pressure paid off again when Coots completed his hat trick with a goal at 18:09 remaining.
Late in the half, Evarts’ attack surged again. Rayce Bryant scored with 5:57 remaining to spark a rapid scoring run. #2 Jesse Pendergrass followed with three consecutive goals at 4:52, 3:49, and 2:30, showcasing an explosive stretch of finishing.
After assisting on several earlier goals, 9 Jace Hensley capped the scoring with a well-earned goal of his own at the 2:08 mark—a fitting reward for a strong playmaking performance throughout the half.
Evarts controlled possession for much of the contest, keeping the ball on the offensive side of the field while their defense limited Black Mountain’s opportunities despite a few late attacking attempts. With Evarts leading 900 at halftime, the mercy rule was enacted and the second half was not played.
The rivalry matchup highlighted Evarts’ depth on offense and strong defensive organization as they opened the season with an impressive showing.
