Harlan County ran its record in the Campbellsville University Team Camp to 5-0 with three varsity wins Wednesday.
Sophomore forward Shasta Brackett’s putback with one second left was the difference in a 36-35 win over West Carter in the Lady Bears’ closest call of the day. Jaycee Simpson scored 12 points and Raegan Landa added 10 to lead the Lady Bears. Taylynn Napier tossed in seven, followed by Reagan Clem with five and Brackett with two.
Simpson, Clem and Napier each scored 13 points in a 46-21 rout of Thomas Nelson. Kenadee Sturgill tossed in three. Landa and Brackett scored two each.
Sturgill poured in 18 and Simpson added 12 in a 44-35 victory over Hart County. Clem and Napier added five each. Landa and Brackett each scored two.
Harlan County won all three junior varsity scrimmages, defeating North Bullitt 34-22, West Carter 54-20 and Bullitt East 32-24.
Natalie Moore scored nine and Kelsie Middleton added eight against North Bullitt, Crissalyn Jones tossed in six. Jocelyn Miracle added four. Adleigh Creech scored three. Khloe Carr and Andrea Napier scored two each.
Jones poured in 17 to lead HC against West Carter. Napier added 11. Miracle tossed in nine. Middleton and Moore scored seven each, followed by Creech with two and Morgyn Belcher with one.
Moore scored 11 and Miracle added 10 against Bullitt East. Middleton scored five, followed by Annie Burton with four and Jones with two.
The Lady Bears close play in the Campbellsville camp on Thursday.
