
HYDEN — Led by senior guard Landon Brock with 22 points and junior center Tucker Curtis with 19, Harlan County evened its summer record at 1-1 with a 58-47 win Tuesday over Knott Central at Leslie County High School.
Colton Delaney tossed in nine points for the Bears, while Brady Smith tossed in five and Rydge Lewis added three.
The Bears pulled away in the second half for the win despite playing without senior guard Trent Cole and junior guard Hayden Grace.
The HCHS junior varsity team improved to 2-0 with a 33-30 win over Knox Central.
Freshman guard Caysen Farley led the Bears with 10 points. Carson Sanders scored six. Easton Engle and Taylor Daniels added five each. Trey Creech scored three. Adrian Fields and Pheonix Morgan tossed in two each.
Harlan County returns to action Thursday at Leslie County.
